There was a variation of different ages that I asked ranging form the age of 10 to the age of 56.
From the research i have constructed and the results that i have gathered i have come to the conclusion that the audience prefer mainstream films more so than independent films. Our film will be targeted more at a mainstream audience. Focusing more in depth into conveying what are considered as the conventional roles. We are going to make out thriller a psychological thriller which according to the research people did in fact enjoy psychological thrillers. We also put male and female characters in generic roles where the male is seen in control and is acting as the stalking where as on the other hand the female is displayed as more vulnerable and shown as the weaker character which is stereotype in a sense.
Considering our target audience is mainly teenagers and people around their 20s and 30s. We have to look closely at the details people of this age have provided and how we can adapt this into our thriller. To highlight the sub-genre of the thriller of it being psychological we're using the idea that the main character is being stalked by a man and that no physical killing is taking place but there is a factor of tension. Also the clothing that will be used on the female is average clothing, covered up. Where as the male has a dark jacket and seems mysterious. They are dressed appropriately as the character they are playing.
The location is in more of a urban place its going to be at the train station and also in an office. These are very realistic locations in which the audience can relate to. However the thriller will have a mixture of a slow pace and fast pace this is going to be done through the editing because there will be quick jump cuts to build the tension. Although the thriller opening will not use many of not no special effects because its a psychological thriller and not action and so it doesn't depend on big sets and big stunts.
